1. Who we are
Rift Lantern ("we", "us") is a private player notebook for League of Legends. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at riftlantern@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address and Google account identifier from your Google sign-in. We don't store passwords.
- Linked League of Legends accounts: Riot ID (game name + tag line), PUUID, summoner level, profile icon, and rank, fetched from the official Riot Games API.
- Notes: the labels you define, and the labels and free-text notes you add about other players, along with the game they were added from.
- Session data: an authentication cookie used to keep you signed in.
3. About data on other players
Game name, tag line, rank, and champion data shown for players you encounter are public information made available through the Riot Games API - we don't control or verify it. Any note you write about another player is private to your account: it is never shown to that player or to any other Rift Lantern user.
4. Why we process this data
To provide the core features of Rift Lantern: detecting your live game, showing both teams, and showing your own notes on players you've met before. This is the performance of the service you signed up for.
5. Who we share data with
- Riot Games - to look up live game, account, and rank data via their public API.
- Google - only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Google Cloud / MongoDB - our hosting and database infrastructure.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and your notes for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us at riftlantern@gmail.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. To exercise any of these rights, email us. If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
This also applies if you're a League of Legends player who doesn't use Rift Lantern but appears in it (for example in someone's live game or notes). When you ask us, or when Riot Games forwards your deletion request to us, we delete the data we store about your Riot account, the cached matches you took part in, and any notes other users wrote about you.
8. Cookies
We use a single session cookie required to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
